Over the Rock and Under the Tree
Over the rock and under the green tree
I lay down in pure calm, you by my side
But nothing, I fear, will change this fierce tide
If I could tell you what you mean to me
But the wall we have means it may never be
Where will words of my waiting wing so wide
As stressful as an emotional ride
Will it stop soon and will I pay the fee?
For what your beautiful acts have brought me
I shall return your great favours two fold.
For the true meaning of love is to care
At last that was all clear under the tree
For the rest of my days until I’m old
I’ll love you much as all for you is fair.

After this project, I simply know the finer details of a sonnet, and what it is. I always knew a sonnet was a poem, but i didn't know what makes a sonnet as opposed to anything else. I knew how to write up a poem, but had no idea the difference between a sonnet and your average, every day, poem. Now, I do know that it is ten syllables, and fourteen lines.
Is there a theme of nature in my sonnet? Yes, and no simultaneously. I left it open ended. There are multiple different ways, one may see the individual fine details of my sonnet. It was intentionally written this way, in that it could have a variety of varied perceptions from loving a person to loving nature to on, and on, and on. But at the end of the day, regardless of the individual interpretation, this feeling is being invoked outdoors, seemingly at the watershed.
At the end, am I happy with it? Yeah, very. A lot of people were very impressed. At exhibition, during the working phases of the project, and at home. I feel like I really wrote up something impressive, because people seemed to act like such whenever reading my sonnet.
